Hurricane Katrina Support |
Dear All Insulectro, Tri-Star & Express Associates:
I am sure that each of you, like me, has been watching the events
of Hurricane Katrina unfold over the past two weeks. The damage from the
Hurricane and its aftermath on the Gulf Coast has been unimaginable but nothing
can compare with the suffering and despair the people of the region are going
through. The stories of loss, death and separation from family members have been
too sad to watch. These are people who have had everything they know
ripped away from them in a matter of hours.
Unlike other disasters which seem so far away this disaster has
hit so close to home, to our own people, in our own Country. We feel that it
would be appropriate for our group of companies to share some of our good
fortune with those who have lost so much. So, on behalf of all of you, our
Associates, we will donate $10,000.00 to the relief and rebuilding efforts of
the Gulf Coast.
We have identified a
non-profit foundation, The New Orleans Hurricane Relief Foundation, where we
know that 100% of donations will go directly aid and support. This non-profit
has absolutely no administrative costs or expenses. Every penny of every dollar
will go toward the effort.
Insulectro will also offer a matching program to increase our
total contribution. The Company will match any contribution you personally
make, dollar for dollar up to a total of an additional $5,000.00. We realize
that many of you may have already donated to the cause and that is great. We do
not want anyone to feel any pressure to donate if they are not able or
comfortable doing so. This is a chance to make a donation through Insulectro
and Insulectro will write a check for the same amount, in essence doubling your
contribution. If we can raise $5,000.00 from your collective individual
donations Insulectro will donate an additional $5,000.00 match for a total of
another $10,000.00. This would bring our total contribution to $20,000.00 which
would help a lot of people who are struggling to rebuild their lives. Any amount
contributed will help!
If you want to contribute to the match you can send a check made
payable to: “American Red Cross” (on the memo line please write “Hurricane
Katrine”) to my assistant Debbie Smith at our Lake Forest headquarters. We will
collect them and whatever they total Insulectro will match, up to $5,000.00 and
we will send your checks along with Insulectro’s matching check to the American
Red Cross. If you choose to contribute, please have any contribution
mailed to Lake Forest no later than next Friday September 23, 2005.
