"PROWLER"  Announcement

We are proud to announce the roll out of Insulectro's INTRANET website under the name "Prowler". This website will play a crucial role in an effort to create a paperless environment, act as a centralized repository of company related information, while promoting a unique "user community" concept, facilitating communication and exchange of ideas.

"Prowler" is currently embedded with the following key features:

·         Company Forms by Department:  It acts as a centralized repository for all the Accounting, Human Resources and  Quality Assurance, and Sales forms. No need to search around, download or print. Simply point, click, fill out and email.

·         Company Manuals and Handbooks:  All the company/department manuals are available in an electronic format. No more bulky paper manuals to lug around.

·         News Release:  This includes messages from the CEO and news release from the Human Resources department.

·         Supplier/Customer Address List:  As the name implies, this feature allows you to get the contact information for suppliers and major customers on the website. It eliminate a need for using telephone directory.

·         Address Book Search:  This feature gives you search capability by branch location or the name of any associate in the company. Simply type in the location or the name of the associate in the address book field and it will give information about that individual's title, birthday, contact number and years of service, etc. Not to mention a photograph of that individual. (Bound to create quiet a stir) check it out! 

§         The Address book can also be accessed thru AS/400 by Menu Option ABI10.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. In months to come, we plan on adding more features.

More Features coming soon:

¨       Search Capability:  If you are looking for something on our web page, but don't know where to look for, this feature will allow you to locate anything on our intranet site based on word, context or query.

¨       Electronic Bulletin Board:  This will allow associates to post work- related messages, recognize extra-ordinary efforts of co-workers, and in general exchange ideas and tips. An excellent source for company wide communication.

¨       Realtime Charts/Graphs:  This feature will give you up-to-the minute visual information in graphs, bars and pie charts regarding key parameters, for instance sales figures, inventory status, slow moving inventory, etc.

¨       HealthCare Links: This feature will allow you to get the information online.  You will be able to find information online without going through our Human Resources Department.

Please note, Prowler is Insulectro internal website. It's not accessible on the internet.

Information on the "Prowler" is privileged, proprietary and confidential. It is intended solely for the use and review by Insulectro's associate(s). Transmission, dissemination, distribution or copying of this information in any form outside Insulectro is strictly prohibited. Individual(s) found in violation of this trust will be prosecuted.

How to visit the "Prowler":

Open your Internet Explorer and type in: http://prowler in the address field.  We recommend that you make this your Internet Default page.

While we have been using the site on a limited basis, we anticipate with wide spread use that we may have to trouble shoot and/or make enhancements.  We ask for your patience and support as we work to constantly improve the site.

Electronic Forms on the Prowler

We have introduced Electronic forms on the Prowler. In order to use these electronic forms, we need to make minor changes on each workstation.  For those of you, using Windows 2000 and Windows NT, please call IT department hotline at # 3311 and we will walk you through the changes. It'll take less than five minutes.

For those of you, using Windows 95 and Windows 98, Please follow the instructions outlined below:

1. Click on Start, Programs and open "Windows Explorer".

2. In Windows Explorer, click on "View" on the Tool bar and choose "Folder Options".

3. In Folder options, click on "File Types".

4. Under "Registered File Types" screen, scroll down and highlight "Microsoft Excel Worksheet".

5. Now click on "Edit" button on the screen.

6. Under "Edit File Type" window, please UNCHECK "Browse in same window"

7. Click OK once

8. Now, under "Registered File Types", scroll down and highlight "Microsoft Word Document".

9. Now click on "Edit" button on the screen.

10. Under "Edit File Type" window, please UNCHECK "Browse in same window".

11. Click "OK" and then close the "Folder options" Window.

You are done!

"Prowler" as your Default Home Page

In order to make "Prowler" as your defaut home page, please follow the steps listed below:

1. Open your Internet Explorer browser.
2. Click on "Tools" on the toolbar.
3. Click on "Internet Options".
4. Now under "General" tab change the item listed in the "Address" field as http://prowler
5. Click OK and exit the browser.

Next time you open your browser, Prowler should be your home page. If not, call us and we'll walk you through.
