A new auto policy announced in August 2008 held a high focus on gas savings and environmental benefits as pump prices escalated over $4.00/gal and we saw gas purchases for the Insulectro sales group more than double.  In September, the first two members of the Chicago Branch converted from gas guzzling SUV’s over to fuel efficient Hybrid vehicles.  This was followed in November by the third and final Chicago sales member and one of the two sales members in the Minneapolis Branch bringing on board two more hybrid vehicles.  In Chicago, Trey Adams improved his MPG by 3X moving away from his ¾ ton Suburban, Chris Miller increased by 2X separating from his Explorer, Terry Staskowicz increased 1.5X over his Grand Prix, and in Minneapolis Garret Shepard beat his ½ ton Silverado Pick-up by over 2X in his move.  If each of these salesmen drive an average of 30,000 miles per year (an easy task) this change represents a group gasoline usage reduction of over 4000 gallons per year at the pump and a dollar savings of $9-16K to the annual Insulectro Wright Express bill depending on gas prices.
